BACKROUND:

Turkey is no 1 in plastic waste in Europe and the consumption of single-use plastic increased with the pandemic.
A ban on single plastic use is yet to pass from the parliament. And people do not really know how long it takes for plastic to perish. Greenpeace Mediterranean started a campaign to raise awareness on the issue. Two radio spots were produced explaining
how long it takes for a straw and a plastic cup takes to dissolve in nature.

AD 1 - STRAW:

Two friends are waiting for their orders at a burger joint. In the meantime they are talking about the soccer game
from the previous night. In the middle of the conversation, their orders arrive. One of them asks the other to pass the straw.
The dialogue dies away but the word ‘straw’ keeps repeating. Then we hear a voice saying how annoying it is. And that
this will only cease to exist after 350 years. Then ends up by saying that it is not a necessity so we should stop using it.
AD 2 - CUP:

Two friends are at the office having small talk about the traffic on the way to work in front of the water dispenser.
Then a third friend arrives asking for them to pass a plastic cup. The dialogue dies away but the word ‘cup’ keeps repeating.
Then we hear a voice saying how annoying it is. And that this will only cease to exist after 420 years.
Then ends up by saying that it is not a necessity so we should stop using it.
